Sanandaj; Arrest of two members of the "Nojin" socio-cultural association by security forces
on Monday, February 21st, a young couple named "Payam Miri" 36 and "Varan (Esra) Mohammadnejad" 30, from "Tangisar" village and resident of Sanandaj coincided with the International Mother Language Day and during the distribution of special tracts and posters of this day, , were detained by security forces.
According to an informed source, the young couple are active members of the "Nojin" socio-cultural association and were arrested by security forces without issuing any court order while distributing leaflets and posters for International Mother's Day in one of the streets of Sanandaj.
The informed source added: These two members of the "Nojin" socio-cultural association were released after four hours of interrogation at 10 pm on Monday February 21st.
On Saturday, January 8th, Zahra Mohammadi, a Kurdish language teacher and a member of the Nojin Socio-Cultural Association, was arrested after being summoned to the Sanandaj Judiciary and transferred to the Sanandaj Correctional Center to serve her sentence.
