Relative of Kurdish opposition organizations summoned and threatened in Mahabad

Kurdpa Agency: Relatives of Kurdish opposition members summoned and threatened by the Intelligence Office in Mahabad.
Based on reports received by Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa), relatives of the Kurdish parties’ families were in the past several days summoned and threatened by the intelligence agency in Mahabad.
Officials told the relatives of the Kurdish opposition members that their line of communication with their loved ones were controlled by the regime officials. They further warned against further communication and said that in the case this continues, they will face severe consequences.
The reason behind these increased threats especially those in the past couple of years have to do with the “increased activities of the Kurdish opposition parties in the past two years.”
