Piranshahr / Two Kurdish citizens were sentenced to 10 years in prison

Two Kurdish citizens, Omar Khagzad and Abbas Sedighi, from the village of Shalimjaran in Piranshahr, were each sentenced to five years in prison by the Revolutionary Court.

 The court charged these two citizens with "collaborating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government," and the sentence has been announced in recent days.

 Omar Khagzad, son of Hasel, was arrested on Sunday, May 31, 2020 without any court order and beaten by security forces and transferred to a security detention center in Urmia for interrogation.

 This Kurdish citizen was transferred to Naqadeh Prison on Sunday, July 12, after completing his interrogation, and was released on bail in early August.

 Abbas Sedighi was also arrested by the security forces on the evening of Friday, April 24, without a court order, and was transferred to a security detention center in Urmia for interrogation.

 This citizen was temporarily released on bail in early July after completing his interrogation.
