On charge of his political activity, a Kurdish citizen received more than ten-year prison sentence

Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa): Iranian Judiciary sentenced a Kurdish citizen, from Mahabad, to 10 years and 3 months imprisonment.
According to our correspondents, a Kurdish citizen, Kaiwan Oliayi, from the city of Mahabad, received a ten-year and three-month prison sentence.
He was convicted of “cooperation with a Kurdish political, opposition party”.
Kiwan was arrested by Iranian Intelligence Service in Mahabad on December 17, 2017. He was sent to prison in January, 2018 without attending a trial after have been interrogated.
During the interrogation period, he was deprived of the right to have family visit and of having access to a lawyer.
In 2015, Kaiwan had been arrested on the same charge, but he was temporarily released two months afterwards.
