Mohammad Javaheri has sentenced to imprisonment and flogging

Mohammad Javaheri, a student of youth studies at Tehran University's Faculty of Social Sciences and from Sardasht, has been sentenced to four years and 7 months of imprisonment and 74 lashes by the 26th branch of Tehran Revolutionary Court.

 According to the verdict of the court of first instance, this Kurdish student has been sentenced to one year imprisonment and 74 lashes on "disturbance of public order and comfort", and to three years and 7 months of imprisonment on charges of "assembly and collusion with the intention of committing a crime against internal/foreign security".

 Also, Mr. Javaheri has been sentenced to a two-year ban on membership in political groups and categories and a ban on leaving the country.

 On september 25th, Mohammad Javaheri was expelled from the dormitory by Tehran University security and after leaving the Tehran University dormitory at 4:00 PM in the terminal while returning to Sardasht, he was arrested by the security forces and taken to Evin prison.

 After being detained for 21 days, this student was released on the 17th of October with a bail of 500 million tomans, and on the 13th of November, his court session was held at Branch 26 of Tehran Revolutionary Court.
