Landmine cut off the leg of a Kurdish citizen

Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa): A Kurdish citizen, from the city of Sarouabad was severely injured and lost one of his legs due to a landmine explosion.
According to reports received by Kurdpa, on Friday, the 31st of August, a Kurdish citizen, Mehdi Khoogar, from the city of Sarouabad, was severely injured due to a landmine explosion.
Mehdi was working on his farm while a landmine went off and cut off one of his leg.
He immediately was transferred to a Hospital in Mariwan and went under knife.
Even though the provinces like West Azarbayejan, Kurdisrtan, Ilam, Kermansha and Khouzestan are the most mine-infested regions in Iran with more than 16 million mine lands, the Iranian government has not yet done anything to tackle this problem.
