Kurdpour Brothers sentenced to prison and exile

Kurdistan Press Agency: Judicial office of Iranian Islamic Government sentenced two Kurdish journalists to total of 9 years and 6 months imprisonment.
According to Kurdistan Press Agency report, Masoud and Xosraw Kurdpour (two brothers) from Mahabad were sentenced to 9 years and 6 months imprisonment by the Inqillab court of Mahabad.
These two Kurdish activists got sentenced in this way after being in prison for 8 months and being judged three times by Judge Jawadi Kia.
According to Mukryan Agency the lawyer of these two brothers has announced that Xosraw was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment because of ‘’ gathering and colliding against regulation’’ and 1 year because of ‘’ Advertising activities’’, and as a total, it is 6 years imprisonment.
At the same time, Masoud was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment because of ‘’ Gathering and colliding against regulation’’, and 6 months because of ‘’Advertising activities’’. And it is 3 years and 6 months imprisonment as a total.
In the middle of June and at the end of October of this year, Inqillab court of Mahabad had accused these two brother of ‘’ standing against God, propaganda against regime, and disrespecting the leader of regime and spreading rumors’’.
According to that sentence passed by Inqillab court of Mahabad on him, ‘’Xosraw Kurdpour’’ Manager of Mukryan Agency must get exiled to Kerman for two years, and because of preserving security situation, he must pass 5 years of his sentence in Tabriz Prison.
Four lawyers of these two brothers have complained about this sentence, and they are following Kurdpoors’ case in the investigation court of Mahabad.
Few weeks ago, Amnesty International had asked the officials of Iranian Islamic Government to remove the accusation on these brothers.
While ago, Ahmad Shahid had also penciled Masoud and Xosraw Kurdpoor’s name as two of the 40 Iranian confined journalists in his report.
At 8th of March, Xosraw, and two days later Masood Kurdpoor got arrested by the informative forces of Mahabad.
