Kurdistan Press Agency Report regarding death penalty sentence in Iran (International Day against Death Penalty)

Kurdpa agency will publish an analytical and statistical report regarding Death penalty in Iran from the beginning of this year till now in 10 October ( The day of standing and demonstrating against Death Penalty).
Kurdpa Agency in this report will illustrate the statistics of those who have been hanged from the beginning of this year till now, and those who have been sentenced to death penalty during this period. Later on, it will compare the statistics of hanging in the periodical time of 2012 -2013.
It must be said that registered statistics in Kurdistan Press Agency Statistical Center is being announced depending on reliable source in which in some cases the ID of those who have been hanged, and in most cases only the first name of that person has been mentioned. This statistic will be spread only with data.
\"Amnesty International ‘’ Global Coalition Against the Death Penalty organization in 2002 selected 10 of October as the International day of standing against death penalty.
Death Penalty sentence directly convenes third and fifth part of universal report of human rights. This sentence basically means killing people by the decisions from the governments\' authorities. So, it is like taking back ‘’ people’s life’’ which is third part, and convening that right in which’’ Nobody can torture or insult anybody else, which is against political and humanitarian constitution’’ in fifth part.
According to the recent report in 2012 of ‘’ Amnesty International \" in Iran, Iraq, Oman, and Saudi Arabia in the Middle East, the rate of hanging has increased 50% , and Iran is in the lead. Internationally, it is second with 417 cases of hanging after China.

Hanged people from the beginning of this year till now, and those who have been sentenced to death penalty during 2013.

According to the statistics of this table, 397 people have been hanged, and 41 others have been sentenced to death penalty from the beginning of this year till Wednesday October 9th.
Out of those 41 people who have been sentenced to death, the sentence of 22 of them has been confirmed by Supreme Court in Iran, and 6 of them must get hanged in front of people.
At the same time, three political prisoners whose names are ‘’ Saman Nasim, Xalid Moxalidmawana, and Mohammad Abdollahi’’ accused of war against God, as being a member in one of the opposition parties of Iran have been sentenced to death penalty.
Among those people who have been sentenced in this periodical time, 17 of them were women and 18 people were Afghani citizens.

The place of executed people with the separate detentions in front of people.
What is remarkable in this table is, the statistic of hanged people is in public places, who were 30 people. According to this statistic, every month the penalty death was executed in front of people’s eyes.
Many experts believe that hanging those in front of people has been fulfilled in a conspired and systematic way.
The experts of human rights of United Nation Organization believe that hanging people is not a good reason to minimize the amount of crime in society, rather than it causes more violation in the society atmosphere.

According to graph 1, 397 people at the beginning of this year till October 9th, and 251people at the same time in 2012 have been hanged.
This statistic 146 hanged people has increased compared to the same period in 2012.
According to Human Rights organizations reports, hanging rate in Iran has increased overwhelmingly starting from 2009 till now.

According to graph 2, discriminatory court of Iranian Islamic Government has related the hanging cases to trade with drug (smuggle).
The officials of Iranian Government has stated positively the impacts of death penalty regarding standing against drugs. And this is in a case in which they haven’t fulfilled any serious investigation.
International experts believe that death penalty sentence as the heaviest sentence couldn’t have minimized or prevented crime, because at the same time with hanging people, the rate of crime in society has increased.
In this report, four children whose age was under 18 have been sentenced to Death Penalty because of intentional killing, and they have been hanged when they became 18.
Discriminatory court of Iranian Government in 2004 presented Iran Parliament a treaty to create adult court in which at the beginning was recognized as adult and children court treaty. In this court, the judge had to investigate regarding the children’s age before deciding death penalty. But this treaty hasn’t been approved in Iran Parliament.
