According to our correspondents on the ground, a significant number of Kurdish, cultural activists boycotted the first congress of Kurdish Novel and Tale held in Shno (Oshnavieh) on Thursday, the 11th of October, due to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)’s interference.
“The congress is being held by Persheng Literary – cultural association which was boycotted by many protesting the IRGC’s interference”, a participant told our reporter.
In Contrary to any regulation related to such a cultural event, the IRGC staged a photo exhibition aimed at distorting public opinion against the Kurdish, political parties, another participant said.
“Having showed the pictures of Kurdish leaders targeting such thing, the IRGC has insulted the Kurd’s history as well as Kurdish identity”, an activist who wanted to stay anonymous told our reporter.
