Intelligent service in Sardasht arrested a father of Kurdish political activist

Kurdpa agency: In line with ongoing detention of Kurdish citizens by the Iranian security forces, this time intelligent office in Sardasht apprehended the father of Kurdish political activist. He was then transferred to unknown location.

Kurdpa News agency stated that on Monday Jan 31th intelligent officers in Sardasht raided the house of Moulud Esmail Pour. They arrested and took him to anonymous location.

Kurdpa correspondent in Sardasht said after intelligent service searched this 68 years old Kurdish citizen’s house arrested him and so far there is no news about his current situation.

According to an associate, security forces in number of ocassions searched his house in a bid to arrest his son Muhammad Esmail Pour.

His family had to face enduring abuse and ill treatment at the hands of security force.

The same associate further said that Muhammad Esmail Pour son of Moulud has been persecuted on alleged affiliation with Kurdish opposition parties and acting against national security charges.

Human right activist in Sardasht are concern about physical and mental state of Moulud Esmail Pour and the fact that his is an elderly citizen and this could potentially deteriorate his physical and mental conditions.

Further to this report, so far Esmail Pour family has refused to provide any information to the Media and human right organizations, this is due the pressure they receive from intelligent office.

Despite of the fact that President Rouhani has promised to improve the political climate in Iran, the Kurdish political and civil activists and their family are still under pressure increasingly by the security forces.

Referring to Kurdpa News agency statistics in 2016, 734 Kurdish citizens of Iran were detained on different charges brought against them by the security institutes.
