Intelligent office in Oshnavieh arrested four people on political activities ground

Kurdpa agency: Four Kurds were arrested following raids by security forces in Oshnavieh.

Kurdpa News agency learnt that an armed intelligent officers arrested four young Iranian Kurdish citizens in Oshnavieh of West Azerbaijan province. They were then taken to unknown location.

This arrest took place in the early morning of December 10th 2016 in Cheshmeh Gol village of Oshnavieh region.

According to Kurdpa correspondent the identity of detainees are as followed: Shahram Tahi 23 years old son of Esmail, Ahwand Piroti 25 years old son of Rasoul, Muhammad Tai 40 years old son of Rahman and Salim Tai 50 years old son of Abdullah.

Intelligent officers raided the house of above-mentioned detainees without presenting any warrant for arrest, which is common practice in Iran. The officers also confiscated some personal items including books, handouts and mobile phones.

Although there is not an accurate repot of the reason for their arrest however their relatives believe that they might have been arrested for their affiliation with Kurdish opposition parties in Iran.

Earlier Shirin Ebadi, lawyer and Nobel Peace Prize winner criticizing the detention of political activists by the Ministry of Information within the administration of Hassan Rouhani. She said in International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran “I warn Mr. Rouhani and hold him responsible for illegal acts carried out in the Ministry of Information.

This is because the Ministry of intelligence is part of Rouhani’s cabinet.\"

Within the last month more than 15 Kurdish citizens of Iran have been arrested by the security and intelligent office. The fate of most of them is shrouded in the mystery.
