Four Kurdish citizens were sentenced to four years in prison
Kurdpa Agency: The first branch of the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court sentenced four Kurdish citizens to four years in prison.
According to a report released by the Kurdistan Press Agency on Tuesday, October 22nd, four Kurdish citizens, "Heman Mohammadian, Pouria Naseri, Yadegar Jafari and Yasin Karimi" were sentenced to four years in prison by the first branch of the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court.
According to the verdict, these four Kurdish citizens were each sentenced to one year in prison on charges of "propaganda against the regime in favor of one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government."
These four Kurdish youths were detained by intelligence forces on Saturday, July 13th, as the 30th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Ghassemlou, the charismatic leader of the Kurdish nation.
These four youths were transferred to the central prison of Sanandaj after a day of questioning at the detention center of the Sanandaj Ettelaat Bureau.
These four youths were interrogated in connection with the wearing of Kurdish costumes on July 13th, the 30th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Ghassemlou, the charismatic leader of the Kurdish nation.
On Tuesday, July 16th, these four youths were temporarily released on bail.
