Five citizens from Saqez were sentenced to prison

The First Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Saqez sentenced five Kurdish citizens, Armia Ranjbari, Ali Ghaderi, Rahman Rahimpour, Werya Amini and Hiva Amini, to prison.

 According to the verdict, Rahman Rahimpour, Hiva Amini and Armia Ranjbari were each sentenced to 10 months in prison, Ali Ghaderi to 7 months in prison and werya Amini to 8 months in prison each on charges of "propaganda in favor of a Kurdish opposition party of Iran."  

 Armia Ranjbari was also sentenced to 13 months in discretionary custody on "insulting the leadership."

 The court hearing of these five citizens was held on Wednesday, December 2nd, and they were notified of the verdicts on Wednesday, December 9th.

 On Wednesday, August 5th, Ali Ghaderi, Armia Ranjbari, Hiva, and Werya Amini were arrested by security forces without any warrant on  "collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party of the Iranian government" and transferred to the Sanandaj Intelligence Detention Center for interrogating.

 On Wednesday, August 12th, Rahman Rahimpour was arrested by security forces in Laleh Park in Saqez without any warrant on  "collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party of the Iranian government."

 The five citizens were released temporarily on bail after the end of the interrogation period until the end of the trial.
