Detention of a young Kurd man in Mahabad

Security forces arrested a young Kurd man named "Siavash Rozkhoon", 23, son of Naser from Mahabad.

This Kurd youth has been detained by security forces for more than a week and has been transferred to the Urmia Intelligence Detention Center for interrogation.

Siavash Rozkhoon was a member of one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government and was arrested after returning to Iran.

This young man was denied "family visits and access to a lawyer" during his detention.
