Detention of a female citizen in Bokan
On the evening of Wednesday, December 1st, a female citizen named "Chini Sharifi-Bokani", 36, daughter of Omar from Bokan, was arrested by security forces.
Reza Sharifi Bokani, a human rights activist and the citizen's brother, told Kurdpa: "Security forces went to his sister's private house without any court order and arrested her."
Mr. Sharifi-Bokani added: 9 hours after the arrest of his sister, they do not know about her fate.
Chini Sharifi Bokani is married and has one child.
Omar Sharifi Bokani, a former political prisoner and Chini's father, was also detained by security forces on Thursday, November 11th.
Omar Sharifi-Bokani was also arrested in 1992 on charges of "membership in a Kurdish opposition party of the Iranian government" and was later sentenced by the Mahabad Revolutionary Court to seven years in prison.
This citizen was released from Urmia prison in 1998 after the end of his imprisonment.
No information is available on the reason for the arrest and the charges against Chini Sharifi Bokani.
