Cold climate did cost two backpack carrier’s lives

Kurdpa agency: heavy snowing followed by excessive falling in temperature result in killing two Kurdish backpacks carrier in the border region of Piranshar.

According to Kurdpa news agency as a result of cold weather and hypothermia two backpacks carrier lost their lives in the border between Piranshar and Kurdistan region. This incident took place on Thursday 9th Jan in Barini Mountain near to a location named Kani-xowa.

Kurdpa’s reporter in Piranshar while confirming this incident has also announced these backpack carrier’s name as Ibrahim Muhammad-zadeh 40 years old, son of Ahmad and Ibrahim Paymard 27 years old, son of Rahman.

According to this report, while these two Kurdish citizens were transporting some materials to the other side of the border in Kurdistan region as a part of their business were exposed to sever falling in temperature. Consequently they suffered from hypothermia in this mountainous region. The above mentioned backpack carrier have also a wife and children.

Ibrahim Muhammad-zadeh was from Shlim Jaran village and Ibrahim Paymard was from xerenj village within Lajan district. The body of these two citizens were found in the high land border region of Piranshar. They were then return back to their hometowns.

One of the main reasons for increasing backpacking phenomena is unemployment and lack of state sponsorship for business in Kurdistan. Another reason is inappropriate definition of business and trading in border region.

Last year atthe beginning of Jan ,due to being exposed to a heavy snowing and cold climate another three Kurdish Backpack carrier lost their lives in Kelashin within Oshnawieh region. Likewise another two died in Ormieh border region.

According to an official reports ,the history of transporting and exchanging different materials between Iranian Kurdistan and Kurdish region in Iraq and Turkey is going back to as far as 90 years ago.
