Bokan; Former political prisoner Hemen Mam Ghaderi was detained by security forces
This morning, Saturday, June 25, Hemen Mam Ghaderi, a former political prisoner from Bokan, was arrested by security forces.
According to an informed source, the security forces detained the citizen without issuing any court order.
The informed source added: This Kurdish citizen has been transferred to one of the security detention centers in Urmia for interrogation.
No information is available on the reason for the arrest and the charges against Hemen Mam Ghaderi.
On April 11, 2020, Hemen Mam Ghaderi was released from Bokan Prison after a widespread outbreak of the Corona virus and the announcement of a new amnesty for the judiciary.
On May 16, 2017, the Kurdish citizen was arrested by security forces on charges of "collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party of the Iranian government and propaganda against the regime," and was later transferred to the Sanandaj Intelligence Detention Center for interrogation.
The political prisoner was transferred to Baneh Prison after interrogation and to Saqez Prison for trial.
The Saqez Revolutionary Court sentenced the Bokani citizen to 11 years in prison on charges of "membership and cooperation with a Kurdish opposition party of the Iranian government" and acquitted him of "moharebeh".
The sentence of the first instance court of this citizen in the Supreme Court was reduced to five years of imprisonment and in 2019 he was transferred from Saqez prison to Bokan prison.
