A political activist is to forfeit the right to appeal, his bail is to be impounded by Iranian regime

Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa): The Organization of Execution of Criminal Sentences in Shno (Oshnavieh) considered a Kurdish citizen’s act to not appearing in his trial as bail jumping a few days ago.

According to reports received by our agency, the Organization of Execution of Criminal Sentences in Shno has considered a Kurdish citizen’s act to not appearing in his trial as bail jumping. The organization has given Saber Rasoulpour ten days to appear in order to prevent Iranian authorities from seizing the bail he has posted to be released temporarily.

If Saber does not show up in the court, it will be considered as failure to appear and he, therefore, will forfeit his right to appeal as well, the order says.

Before being released on bail, Saber Rasoulpour had been sentenced to nineteen years’ imprisonment on charge of ‘cooperating with a Kurdish opposition group’.

In 2016, He was temporarily released after have posted a 120 million tomans bail. Afterward, he was forced to leave Iran under the pressure of intelligence organizations.

Before being convicted, Saber had been subjected to torture in the custody of Iranian Intelligence Service in Shno and Urmia Central Prison for four months.
