A Kurdish political prisoner sentenced to be flogged 74 times

Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa): A Kurdish political prisoner, from Bookan, jailed in the Birjand Central Prison, was sentenced to be given 74 slashes.
According to reliable sources, Mohammad Amin Abdollahi, a Kurdish political prisoner, from Bookan, jailed in the Birjand Central Prison, was sentenced to be given 74 slashes by the 104th branch of Public Court in Birjand.
His allegation related to his recent trial was delaying in returning back to prison after his temporary release had met its deadline. The court also sentenced him to be deprived of his right to temporary release for six months.
Mohammad Amin was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment on the charge of ‘cooperation with a Kurdish opposition group’ in the autumn of 2005. He was sentenced to spend his imprisonment in a prison in Tabas which is far away from the city where his family lived.
