A Kurdish Kolbar was shot wounded in Urmia

Kurdistan Press Ageny (Kurdpa): A Kurdish Kolbar (porter), from Urmia, was shot wounded by Iranian Military forces in border regions of Urmia Province.

According to the reports sent by out correspondents, A Kurdish Kolbar, Marouf Khoshmaram, son of Jabar, from Bawan village in Margawar, a district of the city of Urmia, was targeted by direct shots of Iranian Military forces in border regions of Urmia Province and was severely injured.

The Iranian Military forces shot at him without any previous warning, our reporter said.

Marouf was immediately transferred to a hospital in Shno and underwent an operation.

Kolbari (carrying goods on their backs from the Iraqi Kurdistan to the Iranian Kurdistan) in order to make a living is a dangerous job. The economic crisis in the Kurdish provinces of Iran, especially in the border regions, is one of the main causes of taking up this job by people.

Kurdish Kolbars who have to take up this job to earn a living more often lose their lives due to different reasons such as being shot dead by the Iranian military forces, frostbite or landmine explosion.
