Kurdistan Press Ageny (Kurdpa): A Kurdish Kolbar (porter) was shot wounded by Iranian Military forces in border regions of Sardasht.
According to Kurdpa’s reporters from the ground, in early hours of Sunday, the 16th of September, a group of Kurdish Kolbars (porters) was ambushed by the Iranian military forces in border regions of Sardasht; consequently, a Kurdish Kolbar, Rahim Bapiri, was severely injured.
Rahim is from Sisar village in the city of Sardasht, married and has a four-year old child.
Rahim has been transferred to a hospital, our correspondent reported.
On Friday, September 14, a Kurdish Kolbar, Marouf Khoshmaram, son of Jabar, from Bawan village in Margawar, a district of the city of Urmia, was targeted by direct shots of Iranian Military forces in border regions of Urmia Province and was severely injured.
Kolbari (carrying goods on their backs from the Iraqi Kurdistan to the Iranian Kurdistan) in order to make a living is a dangerous job. The economic crisis in the Kurdish provinces of Iran, especially in the border regions, is one of the main causes of taking up this job by people.
Kurdish Kolbars who have to take up this job to earn a living more often lose their lives due to different reasons such as being shot dead by the Iranian military forces, frostbite or landmine explosion.
