A Kolbar shot at Mako Border

Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa): A Kurdish Kolbar, from Mako, was severely injured after being shot by the Iranian military forces in a border region in Mako.
According to reliable reports on the ground, On Monday, August 27, a group of Kurdish Kolbars were targeted by direct shooting of the Iranian military forces near Sangar village in Mako. Consequently, a Kurdish Kolbar whose name was Osman Ghadimi was critically injured.
Having had gunshot wounds in the back and the leg, Osman was taken to a hospital in Tabriz.
The Iranian military troops opened fire on them without any warning.
In a landmine explosion on Tuesday, 25th August, a Kurdish Kolbar, Naser, son of Sedigh, was killed and three other Kolbars whose names are Eghbal, son of Ahmad, Ebrahim, son of Mohammad and Mansoor, son of Majid were severely injured.
Kolbari (carrying goods on their backs from the Iraqi Kurdistan to the Iranian Kurdistan) in order to make a living is a dangerous job.
Economic crisis in the Kurdish provinces of Iran especially in the border regions is one of the main causes of taking up the dangerous job by the people. Kurdish Kolbars who have to take up this job to earn a living more often lose their lives due to different reasons such as being shot dead by the Iranian military forces, frostbite or landmine explosion.
