July 8, 2026; Over the past few days, “Dariush Bidaki,” an 18-year-old Kurmanji Kurdish youth from Bojnourd, was arbitrarily arrested by security forces. Following his transfer to an undisclosed location, individuals contacted his family to inform them that his court session will be held soon and he will be sentenced to prison.

An informed source confirmed the details to Kurdpa, stating: On Sunday, July 5, 2026, Dariush Bidaki—an 18-year-old Kurmanji Kurdish youth from Bojnourd in North Khorasan Province—was arrested after security forces raided his workplace without presenting a judicial warrant. He was subsequently moved to an unknown destination. Today, July 8, 2026, after three days of absolute lack of information regarding the fate of this 18-year-old youth, individuals called his family, claiming that his trial will proceed and a prison sentence will be issued.

While confirming the arrest of this Kurdish citizen, Kurdpa notes that given the historical precedent of pressure and intimidation against detainees' families, such phone calls during the initial detention and interrogation phases occur frequently. Security apparatuses systematically utilize this method to instill fear and threaten the relatives of detainees.

To date, the underlying reasons for his arrest remain unknown, and security agencies have provided no official explanation regarding his case. Throughout his detention, he has been strictly denied access to legal counsel, family visitations, and telephone calls.
