Mahabad; Arbitrary Arrest of 3 Kurdish Youths and Transfer to an Unknown Location Mansour Abbasi, Ahad Kheyri, and Vahed Kheyri

May 24, 2026 (4 Khordad 1405); Following the ongoing wave of arbitrary arrests of Kurdish citizens in Iranian Kurdistan, three more young men from Mahabad, identified as Mansour Abbasi, Ahad Kheyri, and Vahed Kheyri, were arbitrarily arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

An informed source, confirming this news, told Kurdpa: In the early hours of Monday, May 24, 2026 (4 Khordad 1405), three Kurdish youths from the village of "Bafravan" in the "Shamat" region of Mahabad county, West Azerbaijan province—named Mansour Abbasi, Ahad Kheyri, and Vahed Kheyri—were arrested during raids on their homes by security forces without any judicial warrants and were subsequently moved to an undisclosed location.

It is worth noting that Ahad and Vahed Kheyri are brothers.

As of the publication of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for the arrest of these Kurdish citizens, and security authorities have provided no explanations.
