May 15, 2026; "Ahmad Mam-Sharifi," a Kurdish citizen from "Piranshahr," was temporarily released from the Central Prison of "Urmia" on a heavy bail of 3 billion Tomans after nearly 11 months of arbitrary detention.

An informed source, while confirming this news to Kurdpa, said; "Ahmad Mam-Sharifi," son of Omar, from the village of "Silveh" and a resident of "Piranshahr," who had been arbitrarily arrested on June 20, 2025, was released from the Central Prison of "Urmia" upon posting a heavy bail of 3 billion Tomans.

Previously, on June 25, 2025, Kurdpa had reported the arrest of "Ahmad Mam-Sharifi" and three other Kurdish citizens in "Piranshahr." These individuals were violently arrested by security forces raiding their homes without the presentation of a judicial warrant, and for a long time, it was unclear to which security agency or detention center they had been transferred.

During his detention and interrogation in one of the security detention centers, this Kurdish citizen was deprived of the right to access a lawyer and meet with his family, and was subsequently transferred to the Central Prison of "Urmia," where he was held in a state of uncertainty for months.
