Piranshahr; 3 days of arbitrary detention and absolute lack of news regarding the fate of Shahram Pas-o-Pish
May 15, 2026; following the passage of 3 days since the arbitrary detention of a young Kurdish man from "Piranshahr" named "Shahram Pas-o-Pish," there is still no information available regarding his fate and place of maintenance, and he has been deprived of the right to access a lawyer, meetings, and contact with his family.
An informed source, while confirming this news to Kurdpa, said; "Shahram Pas-o-Pish," son of Luqman and from the village of "Chiyaneh" in the vicinity of "Piranshahr" in "Azerbaijan-e Gharbi" Province, was arrested on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, following a raid by security forces on his home without the presentation of a judicial warrant and was transferred to an unknown location.
Until the publication of this news, there is no information regarding the reasons for the detention of this Kurdish citizen, and security forces have provided no explanation in this regard. Furthermore, despite inquiries by his relatives, no information regarding his status and fate has been given to his family so far.
In a related context, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, "Ezzadin Pas-o-Pish," the cousin of "Shahram Pas-o-Pish," was also arrested by security forces and transferred to one of the security detention centers in "Urmia" for interrogation.
