Saqqez; Arbitrary arrest and lack of information regarding the fate of Sobhan Azizi and Omid Khorshidi after three days

March 17, 2026; With three days passed since the arbitrary arrest of "Sobhan Azizi" and "Omid Khorshidi", two Kurdish citizens from the city of "Saqqez", there is still no information about their whereabouts and fate.

An informed source, while confirming this news to Kurdpa, stated: On Saturday, March 14, 2026, "Sobhan Azizi" and "Omid Khorshidi" were arrested without a judicial warrant by security forces who raided their homes and were transferred to an unknown location.

It is noteworthy that the reasons for the arrest of these two citizens remain unknown and the security forces have provided no explanation in this regard. Additionally, these two Kurdish citizens are deprived of the right to any contact or meeting with their families and access to a lawyer.
