Mahabad; Four Days of Arbitrary Detention and No Information Regarding the Fate of Anwar Moloudi and Awat Rostamin
March 10, 2026 – Four days after the arbitrary detention of two Kurdish citizens from the city of Mahabad, named “Anwar Moloudi” and “Awat Rostami,” there is still no information available regarding their fate and place of detention.
An informed source, while confirming this news, told “Kurdpa”: On March 6, 2026, “Anwar Moloudi,” a 40-year-old Kurdish citizen from the village of “Kheyrabad” in the Shamat district of the city of Mahabad, and “Awat Rostami,” a 40-year-old citizen from the village of “Khorkhoreh” in the city of Mahabad, were arrested by Intelligence Department forces in the city of Mahabad without the presentation of a judicial warrant and were transferred to an unknown location.
According to this source, until the publication of this news, no information has been released regarding the reasons for the detention of these two citizens, and security forces have provided no explanation in this regard. Furthermore, these citizens have been deprived of the right to access a lawyer and visit their families since the time of their arrest.
