Lumar / Sirvan; 16 days of arbitrary detention and lack of information regarding the fate of two brothers, Behrouz and Behzad Valibeigi Severe concern for their lives and fate

February 10, 2026; Following 16 days since the arbitrary detention of “Behrouz Valibeigi” and “Behzad Valibeigi,” two Kurdish brothers from “Lumar” in “Sirvan” county, “Ilam” province, there is still no information regarding their fate or place of detention, and their family is intensely worried about their safety.

According to an informed source speaking to “Kurdpa,” “Behrouz Valibeigi” and “Behzad Valibeigi” were arrested by security forces on January 26, 2026, after being summoned to the Intelligence Department of Sirvan County. The arrests were conducted without the presentation of a judicial warrant, and there has been no information regarding their whereabouts since.

Throughout their detention, the two brothers have been completely deprived of the right to access a lawyer, as well as contact and visitation with their family.
