Bojnord Prison; 27 days of arbitrary detention and uncertainty for Sajjad Baghcheghi, a 19-year-old Kurdish youth

February 8, 2026; Following 27 days since the arbitrary detention of “Sajjad Baghcheghi,” a 19-year-old Kurmanj Kurdish youth from “Bojnord” in “North Khorasan” province, he continues to be held in a state of uncertainty in “Bojnord Prison” without any official notification, and his family is intensely worried about his life and fate.

An informed source, while confirming this news to “Kurdpa,” stated; “Sajjad Baghcheghi” was arrested by security forces on January 13, 2026, without the presentation of a judicial warrant and was transferred to an unknown location. After some time, he was transferred to “Bojnord Prison” and has remained in complete uncertainty in detention since then. During this period, this Kurdish citizen has been deprived of the right to any contact, visitation, or access to a lawyer.

The continuation of this absolute lack of information regarding the status of “Sajjad Baghcheghi” in “Bojnord Prison” has escalated serious concerns regarding his life and fate among his family and relatives.
