Bojnord Prison; 43 Days of Arbitrary Detention and Uncertainty for Behzad Azarakhsh, a 21-Year-Old Youth
February 22, 2026; After 43 days since the arbitrary detention of “Behzad Azarakhsh,” a 21-year-old Kurdish youth from city of Bojnord, he continues to be held in a state of uncertainty in Bojnord Prison, and there is no precise information regarding his fate.
An informed source, while confirming this news, told Kurdpa: “Behzad Azarakhsh” was detained on January 11, 2026, without a judicial warrant by security forces and transferred to an unknown location, and following the completion of interrogation, he was transferred to Bojnord Prison.
Until the publication of this report, no information regarding the reasons for the detention of this Kurdish youth has been released, and security forces have provided no explanation in this regard. Furthermore, he has been deprived of the right to access a lawyer and contact or meetings with his family.
