Asemanabad / Ilam; Arbitrary Detention of Two Brothers and Transfer to an Unknown Location Amir-Hesam and Amir-Hosein Sohrabnia

Saturday morning, February 21, 2026; two Kurdish brothers from city of Asemanabad in Ilam Province, named “Amir-Hesam Sohrabnia,” 18 years old, and “Amir-Hosein Sohrabnia,” 22 years old, were detained following a raid by security forces on their home without a judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location.

Security forces have not yet provided any reason for their detention. Since the moment of detention, no information regarding the fate or place of detention of these two brothers has been available, and they have had no contact with their family.
