February 17, 2026; In the continuation of the wave of arbitrary and mass detentions of Kurdish citizens in the province of "Ilam", 8 Kurdish youths in "Abdanan" named "Saeed Naderi", "Hossein Behnama", "Abolfazl Darbandi", "Behzad Akbari", "Saeed Yari", "Mohammad Amin Nazari", "Yousef Khatawi", "Amin Farajollahi", and one Kurdish youth from "Sarableh" named "Siros Ghobadi" were arbitrarily detained.
An informed source, while confirming these detentions, told Kurdpa: The detention of these Kurdish youths was carried out without a judicial warrant by the security forces of the Islamic Republic, and until the publication of this news, there is no information available regarding the reasons for the detention of these Kurdish citizens, and security forces have provided no explanation in this regard.
The details and dates of the detention of these citizens are as follows;
On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, coinciding with the 40th-day ceremony of the state-killing of "Alireza Seydi", a 16-year-old adolescent from "Abdanan" who was killed in "Tehran", 7 Kurdish citizens from "Abdanan" named "Saeed Naderi" (35 years old), "Hossein Behnama" (27 years old, resident of "Hezarani" town), "Abolfazl Darbandi" (20 years old, resident of "Hezarani" town), "Behzad Akbari" (35 years old), "Saeed Yari", "Mohammad Amin Nazari", and "Yousef Khatawi" were detained by security forces.
Also, on Monday, February 16, 2026, two other Kurdish citizens named "Amin Farajollahi" (27 years old from "Abdanan") and "Siros Ghobadi" from "Sarableh" were detained by security forces.
