Ilam; Arbitrary Detentions of Kurdish Adolescents and Youths Saman Sheikhi in Malekshahi, Hassan Moradian in Abdanan, and Abolfazl Rashidi in Darreh Shahr

February 16, 2026; In the continuation of the wave of arbitrary and mass detentions of Kurdish citizens in Ilam province, a 17-year-old adolescent named "Saman Sheikhi" in Malekshahi, and two youths named "Hassan Moradian" and "Abolfazl Rashidi" in Abdanan and Darreh Shahr, were detained and transferred to unknown locations.

An informed source, while confirming these detentions, told Kurdpa: The detention of these Kurdish adolescents and youths was carried out without a judicial warrant and by raiding their homes by the security forces of the Islamic Republic; until the publication of this news, there is no information available regarding the reasons for the detention of these Kurdish citizens, and security forces have provided no explanation in this regard.

The details and dates of the detention of these citizens are as follows:

"Saman Sheikhi", a 17-year-old adolescent from Malekshahi city, was detained on Monday, February 16, 2026.

"Hassan Moradian", a Kurdish youth from Abdanan city, was detained on Sunday, February 15, 2026, after security forces raided their home under the pretext of a few minutes of interrogation.

"Abolfazl Rashidi", a 20-year-old youth from Darreh Shahr city, was detained on the evening of Sunday, February 15, 2026.
