Sanandaj; Arbitrary detention of Jamal Asadi, civil and environmental activist, and transfer to an unknown location

February 13, 2026; In the continuation of the wave of arbitrary and mass arrests of Kurdish citizens, “Jamal Asadi,” a civil and environmental activist from the city of “Sanandaj,” was arbitrarily detained and transferred to an unknown location.

According to an informed source to “Kurdpa,” “Jamal Asadi,” who is a member of the “Chel-Chemeh” mountaineering group, was arrested on January 10, 2026, during a raid on his home by security forces without the presentation of a judicial warrant.

During this raid, his personal mobile phone was also confiscated by security forces without legal authorization.
