Chardavol and Sarableh; Detention and Lack of Information on the Fate of Five More Kurdish Citizens

January 4, 2026; In the continuation of the wave of arbitrary detentions of Kurdish citizens in Ilam province, aimed at imposing an atmosphere of suppression and security over society following the popular protests of January 2026, at least five more citizens were detained by security forces in Chardavol and Sarableh between January 2 and January 4, 2026, and transferred to an unknown location.

Informed sources of Kurdpa, while confirming these detentions, announced the names and details of the detained individuals as follows:

Sarableh (3 individuals):

On the evening of Friday, January 2, 2026, "Ahmad Hagh-Nazari" and "Reza Bagheri-Nejad", citizens from Sarableh, were detained by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

Also, on Sunday, January 4, 2026, "Shahin Ghasr-Beigi", a Kurdish citizen from Sarableh, was detained by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

Chardavol (2 individuals):

On Saturday, January 3, 2026, "Salal Sadeghi", 56 years old, and "Iraj Rostami-Mehr" from the city of "Shabab" (a suburb of Chardavol district in Ilam province), were detained by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

According to this report, all these individuals were violently detained without the presentation of a judicial warrant during raids on their homes by security forces, and until the time of publication of this report, there is no information available regarding their status or place of detention.
