Abdanan; Pouya Naderi, Abdollah Ahmadi, and Mehdi Sheikhi Also Detained

January 4, 2026; In the continuation of the wave of arbitrary detentions of Kurdish citizens in Ilam province, aimed at imposing an atmosphere of suppression and security over society following the popular protests of January 2026, at least three more citizens were detained by security forces in Abdanan between January 3 and January 4, 2026, and transferred to an unknown location.

Informed sources of Kurdpa, while confirming these detentions, announced the names and details of the detained individuals as follows;

On Saturday, January 3, 2026, "Pouya Naderi", a 19-year-old citizen from Abdanan, was detained by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

In the early hours of Sunday, January 4, 2026, "Abdollah Ahmadi", a 38-year-old Kurdish citizen from Abdanan, was detained following a raid by security forces on his home without the presentation of a judicial warrant.

Also, on Sunday, January 4, 2026, "Mehdi Sheikhi", a 32-year-old Kurdish citizen from Abdanan, was detained by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

According to this report, all these individuals were violently detained without the presentation of a judicial warrant during raids on their homes by security forces, and until the time of publication of this report, there is no information available regarding their status or place of detention.
