Darreh Shahr; Detention of 10 More Individuals, Including a 16-Year-Old Teenager

January 4, 2026; In the continuation of the wave of arbitrary detentions of Kurdish citizens in Ilam province, aimed at imposing an atmosphere of suppression and security over society following the popular protests of January 2026, at least 10 more citizens were detained by security forces between January 2 and January 3, 2026, and transferred to an unknown location.

Informed sources of Kurdpa, while confirming these detentions, announced the names and details of the detained individuals as follows;

On the evening of Friday, January 2, 2026, "Peyman Hasanvand" and "Shahrouz Shokripour", Kurdish citizens from Darreh Shahr, were detained by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

On January 3, 2026, "Esmaeil Zohrabi", "Amir Isazadeh" (30 years old), "Mohammad Bashir Hashemian" (35 years old), "Mehdi Hashemian" (30 years old), "Ahmad Hasanvand Amouzadeh" (30 years old), "Bahador Amouzadeh" from "Armou" (a suburb of Darreh Shahr), "Mohammad Taha Zeinivand" (16 years old), and "Saman Gholami" from Darreh Shahr were also detained by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

According to this report, all these individuals were violently detained without the presentation of a judicial warrant during raids on their homes by security forces, and until the time of publication of this report, there is no information available regarding the status or place of detention for many of them.
