Ilam; Continuation of indiscriminate and violent arrests of Kurdish citizens; 6 more individuals detained

January 30, 2026; From January 9 to January 29, 2026, at least 6 Kurdish citizens from various cities and villages in “Ilam” province, named “Ahmad Alizadeh, Hizha Omidi, Saeed Karimbeygi, Sina Ghazanfari, Abdollah Sarbeygi, and Mohsen Rousta,” have been arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Republic in a violent manner and without the presentation of a judicial warrant. These citizens are being held in undisclosed locations, and after a period ranging from a few days to more than 21 days, there is no official information regarding their status, place of detention, or possible charges.

According to received information, the arrests were often accompanied by raids on homes or workplaces, the use of violence, and beatings. Among them, “Ahmad Alizadeh” is a civil activist and well-known figure from “Abdanan,” and “Abdollah Sarbeygi” was arrested in “Tehran.”

The details of the detainees are as follows:

Ahmad Alizadeh, from “Abdanan,” a teacher and former political prisoner who was arrested during the “Zhen, Zhian, Azadi” uprising and sentenced to exile; arrested: January 29, 2026.

Hizha Omidi, 36-year-old youth from “Malekshahi;” arrested: January 26, 2026, following a violent raid on his home; 5 days of silence.

Saeed Karimbeygi, from “Badreh;” arrested: January 25, 2026, following a violent raid on his home; 6 days of silence.

Sina Ghazanfari, from “Sirvan;” arrested: January 22, 2026, following a violent raid on his workplace; 9 days of silence.

Abdollah Sarbeygi, from “Sirvan;” arrested: January 21, 2026, in “Tehran;” 10 days of silence.

Mohsen Rousta, from the village of “Sarab-Kalan” in “Sirvan;” arrested: January 9, 2026; 21 days of silence.
