Ilam; Continuation of indiscriminate and violent arrests of Kurdish citizens; 15 more individuals detained

January 28, 2026; From January 10 to January 26, 2026, at least 15 Kurdish citizens from various cities and villages in Ilam province, named “Mehrdad Hasanvand, Habil Beig-Mohammadi, Hamid Cheraghi, Sasan Pakravan, Zahed Zarei, Jafar Mahmoudi, Hossein Mahmoudi, Saeed Yasemi, Hassan Khoshrou, Mehrdad Nasiri, Mojtaba Hajian, Farzaneh Seydi, Mohammad Reza Shahbazi, Zahra Nazari, Kian Negahdar,” have been arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Republic in a violent manner and without the presentation of a judicial warrant. These citizens are being held in undisclosed locations, and after a period ranging from a few days to more than 19 days, there is no official information regarding their status, place of detention, or possible charges.

According to received information, the arrests were often accompanied by raids on homes, the use of violence, and beatings; in some cases, the detainees' homes were completely destroyed.
 

The details of the detainees are as follows:

1. Mehrdad Hasanvand, 30 years old, from the city of “Darreh Shahr,” was arrested on January 14, 2026, and 14 days of silence have passed since then.
2. Habil Beig-Mohammadi, a youth from the city of “Chavar,” was arrested on January 11, 2026, and has been in a state of silence for 17 days.
3. Hamid Cheraghi, a youth from the city of “Dehloran,” was arrested on January 22, 2026, and 6 days of silence have passed since then.
4. Sasan Pakravan, a youth from Ilam, was arrested on January 27, 2026, with high violence during a raid by security forces on his personal home; during this raid, his home was completely destroyed.
5. Zahed Zarei, a youth from the city of “Chavar,” was arrested on January 10, 2026, and has been in a state of silence for 18 days.
6. Jafar Mahmoudi, a youth from the city of “Chavar,” was arrested on January 10, 2026, with the use of violence, and for 18 days there has been no information about his status.
7. Hossein Mahmoudi, a youth from the city of “Chavar,” was arrested on January 10, 2026, along with beatings, and has been in absolute silence for 18 days.
8. Saeed Yasemi, a youth from the city of “Abdanan,” was arrested on January 18, 2026, and for 10 days there has been no information about his status.
9. Hassan Khoshrou, from Ilam, was arrested on January 26, 2026, and has been in a state of silence for 2 days.
10. Mehrdad Nasiri, 46 years old, from the city of “Sarabeleh,” was arrested on January 11, 2026, and 17 days of silence have passed since then.
11. Mojtaba Hajian, 24 years old, from the city of “Abdanan,” was arrested on December 27, 2025, in Tehran and was in a state of silence for 32 days.
12. Farzaneh Seydi, a young woman from Ilam and one of the previous detainees of the “Zhen, Zhian, Azadi” revolutionary uprising, was arrested again on January 27, 2026, and transferred to an unknown location.
13. Mohammad Reza Shahbazi, from the village of “Karzan” and from the “Khezel” tribe, was arrested on January 25, 2026, during a raid by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.
14. Zahra Nazari, a young woman and a bodybuilding coach in Ilam, was arrested on January 26, 2026, during a raid by security forces on a bodybuilding gym and transferred to an unknown location.
15. Kian Negahdar, an employee of the Dehloran Petrochemical Plant, was arrested 8 days ago during a violent raid by security forces on his personal home and transferred to Ilam Prison. During this raid, security forces completely ransacked his home.
