Abdanan; One Week of Detention and Lack of Information About Mohsen Bavir and the Arson of His Cafe by Government Forces
January 23, 2026; With one week passing since the arbitrary detention of “Mohsen Bavir,” a Kurdish citizen from Abdanan and owner of Cafe “Gol,” there is still no information regarding his fate or place of detention. Simultaneously, one day after his arrest, his cafe was set on fire by individuals affiliated with the government, causing over 700 million Tomans in financial damage to this location.
An informed source, while confirming this news to Kurdpa, stated; “Mohsen Bavir,” a Kurdish citizen from Abdanan, was arrested by security forces on January 17, 2026, and transferred to an unknown location, and so far no information is available about his fate.
This source also sent Kurdpa a video of his shop being set on fire by forces and individuals affiliated with the government and noted; Mohsen Bavir, owner of Cafe “Gol” in “Abdanan,” Ilam, had his shop set on fire by government-affiliated individuals one day after his arrest by security forces. According to this source, the amount of damage caused to this cafe is estimated at nearly 700 million Tomans.
