Karaj; 9 Days of Detention and Lack of Information on Sina Nazari, Kurdish Yarsan and Blogger

January 18, 2026; Nine days after the arbitrary detention and lack of news regarding “Sina Nazari,” a Kurdish Yarsan citizen and blogger, during the popular protests in Karaj, no information is available regarding his fate and place of detention.

An informed source, while confirming this news to “Kurdpa,” stated: “Sina Nazari,” a Kurdish youth from the village of “Safarshah,” a suburb of the county of “Gahvareh (Dalahu)” located in Kermanshah province and a resident of Karaj, was detained on Saturday, January 10, 2026, during the popular protests in Karaj by security forces without the presentation of a judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location, and so far no information has been obtained regarding his fate.

After 9 days, this young blogger has been deprived of the right of access to a lawyer and contact and visitation with his family.
