Detention of 5 Javanrudi Environmental Activists; Mohammad Hejrani, Kamran Moradi, Aram Saeidian, Yahya Darvishi, and Mahan Azami

January 18, 2026; Last night, 5 Kurdish citizens and environmental activists from Javanrud named “Mohammad Hejrani,” “Kamran Moradi,” “Aram Saeidian,” “Yahya Darvishi,” and “Mahan Azami” were arbitrarily detained by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

According to an informed source to Kurdpa, on the evening of Saturday, January 17, 2026, “Mohammad Hejrani,” “Kamran Moradi,” “Aram Saeidian,” “Yahya Darvishi,” and “Mahan Azami,” environmental activists from Javanrud who are all under 25 years of age, were detained by the security forces of the Intelligence Department without the presentation of a judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location; and still, no information is available regarding their fate and place of detention.

Until the publication of this news, no information is available regarding the reasons for the detention of these Kurdish citizens, and security forces have provided no explanation in this regard.
