Continued Detention and Lack of Information on the Whereabouts of Abdollah Azhir

Despite nearly a month having passed since the arrest of Abdollah Azhir, a resident of the village of Sarvokani in the Piranshahr city, there is still no precise information available regarding his fate.

According to a knowledgeable source, this Kurdish citizen has been denied access to legal representation and visits with his family during his detention.

The source added that efforts by Abdollah Azhir’s family to obtain information about his situation have so far been unsuccessful.

This individual was arrested on March 16, 2025 (26 Esfand 1403) at his workplace by security forces, without the presentation of a judicial warrant, and was subsequently transferred to an undisclosed location.

During the arrest, security forces confiscated some of his personal belongings and took them away.

Abdollah Azhir, 45, son of Mostafa, is married and the father of three children.

So far, no clear information has emerged regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges filed against him.
