Sanandaj; Bayan Farajollahi was sentenced to one year in prison

Bayan Farajollahi, a citizen of Sanandaj, was sentenced to one year in prison by the first branch of the Revolutionary Court of this city.

This verdict was announced to this Kurdish citizen on January 22, 2024.

In December 2023, this female activist was summoned to the first branch of the Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj for the last defense on charges of "propaganda against the regime in favor of one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government".

On, August 26, 2023, Ms. Farajollahi was temporarily released from the Correction and Education Center of Sanandaj by depositing a two billion rial bail.

On the night of July 17, 2023, security forces raided the home of this citizen and arrested him without presenting a judicial order.

Ms. Farajollahi was transferred to the detention center of the Intelligence Department of Sanandaj for interrogation.
