Sanandaj; Golaleh Vatandoost, a lawyer and women's rights activist, was sentenced to six years and seven months of suspended imprisonment

Golaleh Vatandoost, a lawyer, a women's rights activist, and one of the detainees of the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, Azadi, from Marivan and living in Sanandaj, was sentenced to six years and seven months of suspended imprisonment.

According to an informed source to Kurdpa; Branch One of the Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj, headed by Judge "Karami", sentenced Ms. Vatandoost to six years and seven months of suspended imprisonment for charges such as acting against national security through forming or managing groups and associations, gathering and colluding against national security, propaganda against the regime and blackening the situation.

In late September 2023, the trial of this lawyer was held in the same branch. Currently, Ms. Vatandoost's case has been referred to the Court of Appeal after protesting.

Ms. Vatandoost was arrested by security forces in Sanandaj during the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, Azadi on October 3, 2022. She was then released from Sanandaj prison on October 19, 2022, by posting a one billion rial bail.

On February 22, 2020, Golaleh Vatandoost was also summoned to the Intelligence Office of Marivan and interrogated for publishing materials in defense of women's rights on social networks.
