Piranshahr; Salah Osmani was arrested by security forces

On Wednesday morning, January 16, a Kurdish citizen named "Salah Osmani" from the village of "Kharapeh" and a resident of Piranshahr was arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

According to an informed source to Kurdpa, at 1:30 am on Wednesday, security forces raided the home of this citizen without presenting a judicial warrant and arrested him.

The informed source added that security forces seized and took his mobile phone after searching Mr. Osmani's house.

At the time of publication of this news, there is no information available about the reason for the arrest and the charges against Salah Osmani.

In 2021, this citizen was acquitted of the charge of "collaborating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government" in the Piranshahr Revolutionary Court.

In August 2021, this Kurdish citizen was temporarily released from Naghdeh prison until the end of the trial by posting bail.

Mr. Osmani was arrested by security forces without presenting a judicial warrant on Wednesday, early August 2021, and transferred to one of the security detention centers in Naghdeh.
