Sardasht; Shoresh Abubakri, a well-known Kurdish artist, was arrested

Shoresh Abubakri, a well-known artist from Sardasht, known as "Shorashwar", was violently arrested by security forces.

According to an informed source to Kurdpa; at three and a half in the morning, on January 8, 2024, armed security forces raided the house of Shoresh Abubakri and arrested him without presenting a judicial warrant, and transferred him to an unknown location.

The informed source of Kurdpa says that despite the follow-ups of the family in the security and judicial institutions, no answer has been given to his family about the situation and fate of Mr. Abubakri.

Kurdpa sources say; the exact reason and location of the arrest of this Kurdish artist is not clear.

Shoresh Abubakri is a producer, presenter, tar player, and singer from Sardasht in the field of literature and art. He had a music school called "Ava-e Kurd" in Sardasht, which was revoked six years ago.
