In December 2023, coinciding with the fortieth-day ceremony of the martyrs of Javanrud, Burhan Elias, 22, from Javanrud, lost his life as a result of firing live bullets by the repressive forces during the popular protests in this city. More than 10 protesters, including a child, were also injured, so that the hospital in this city needed blood.

On December 31, 2022, coinciding with the fortieth-day ceremony of the martyrs of Javanrud, Burhan Elias, 22, from Javanrud, lost his life as a result of firing live bullets by the repressive forces during the popular protests in this city. More than 10 protesters, including a child, were also injured, so that the hospital in this city needed blood.
The body of Burhan Elias was buried in the cemetery of "Hasan Gayer" in Javanrud with the widespread presence of the people and chanting protest slogans.
The repressive-government forces on this day, surrounded the cemetery and turned the fortieth-day ceremony of the seven martyrs of the Javanrud protests into violence and fired buckshot, live and tear gas at the protesters, and clashed with them. The protesters also chanted protest slogans such as "Death to the dictator" and "Death to Khamenei".
During the protests of November 19 and 20, 2023 in Javanrud, seven citizens named Erfan Kakaei, Bahauddin Vaisi, Jowhar Fattahi, Jamal Azami, Tahsin Miri, Ismail Gol Anbar, and Masoud Timouri lost their lives as a result of firing by the repressive forces.
