Masoud Shamsnejad, lawyer of four Kurdish political prisoners; "My advocacy was only on paper and futile pursuit"
Masoud Shamsnejad, the designated lawyer of four Kurdish political prisoners, wrote on his X page "Since I accepted the advocacy of the families of these four prisoners, unfortunately, neither my clients had their rights and nor me, my advocacy was only on paper and futile pursuit, I do not consider the trial process and the final death sentence fair and just." The death sentences of Mohsen Mazloum, Mohammad Faramarzi, Vafa Azarbar, and Pejman Fathi, four Kurdish political prisoners, were issued after more than a year and a half of detention and enforced disappearance in complete ignorance, and the case was referred to the Supreme Court for confirmation of the death sentence.
Being a prisoner means waiting and waiting and waiting
I have been a prisoner and I know better than anyone else what happens in these places, you can't believe how boring life in prison can be and you can't believe if you hear that all the prisoners are just waiting. Waiting for the court date, waiting for the end of the prison term, waiting for the air, waiting for the appeal court, waiting for the visit time and visit and visit that I did not have, forbidden contact and forbidden visit ...
Being a prisoner means things that you usually don't hear, prison is full of stupid violence.
There is no medical care in prison, although the prisoners should spend the first days of imprisonment in a place called quarantine to be treated if they have any illness, but believe me, no doctor examines the prisoner, in prison until you die there is no doctor. If you can convince the guard to go to the prison nurse, in the best case he will tell you to drink more water, it doesn't matter if you have a stroke or a seizure, unless you are really in an emergency, no one takes your words seriously.
In my opinion, prison is full of ordinary people, who are forced to look violent and dangerous because of the environmental conditions they are in. They have to show no sign of having emotions in their hearts to protect themselves, prison teaches you that if you want to be able to continue, you have to mind your own business.
Those who, like me, have experienced repeated arrests and interrogations, know that one of the preparations of the interrogators is to create a sense of guilt or remorse in the accused for their beliefs, beliefs, and demands. The method of psychological warfare is to disarm the defense mechanisms, to arouse a sense of guilt so that he hates himself and leads to self-destruction and self-destruction, which is a form of psychological torture. A prominent example for me was playing the film and pictures of my daughter's stories during the interrogation on a large screen, see what day you brought your daughter, see what torment she suffers in your absence, see how you ruined your daughter's soul and psyche. Was it worth it?
Of course, the sense of guilt has a cultural and educational root and barrier in our society and is a learned feeling. From the beginning, at home and school, you are so condemned to be good and not make mistakes and be positive that you doubt yourself whether you are human or a saint and an angel! Many of the pains, failures inexperience, lack of self-confidence and fears, doubts, and worries are due to this sense of guilt. But often what we call sin is the same experience that a person has to go through to grow. I know it was very hard for my daughter those days, but I'm sure it added a lot to her experience and she grew a lot intellectually, we didn't come to this world perfectly, we came to move towards perfection.
The secret of creation and the mystery of evolution is in revelation. In discovery; there is both light and darkness, both slip and value, both sorrow and joy, and both desire for freedom and equality. Man is not the only creature who wants freedom and tries to achieve it and evolve, wanting freedom and equal rights is not a denial of values, it is the natural right of every free-thinking human being. Wanting equal rights is also the ground for nurturing the next generations of us, this is not disobedience, but the rightful desire of every human being in life.
If I feel guilty and regretful of my human-friendly work, then I have to deny my humanity, sometimes failure is not a bridge to victory, but victory itself!
Then when failure opens the way to blossoming and brings man from frustration to self-being. To a way that his salvation is hidden in it. Sometimes losing is a sprint of success with individuality. Finding yourself and then reaching self-blossoming from being broken.
Whatever man does, he cannot escape from himself and inner tendencies are manifested unconsciously, as Rumi says:
Whoever is away from his origin
He seeks the time of his union
Human-friendly work and helping fellow human beings is an effort to self-build and sometimes the price of self-destruction!
